Over a decade of research experience.

I’ve spent over a decade helping development teams make games better.

This could be helping efficient development through ensuring teams make games right the first time, minimising costly reworking later in development, to simply providing the data teams need to make the right decisions, minimising uncertainty and debate. I also help designers ensure their intended experience is whats felt by players, highlighting experience issues early, so course corrections can be planned into the development schedule early.

The last 10 years I’ve been working in the games industry with a wide variety of clients - from one-man-band indies all the way to multinational AAA studios on series as varied as Total War, Talking Tom, Star Wars, FIFA, Angry Birds and LEGO. Previously I worked on research projects covering entertainment and media, insurance and banking, e-commerce, government and charity.

I’m based in Brighton, UK. My aim is to work with you remotely, but available to travel.

What I’m looking for next

After years at a consultancy where interaction with teams was always time-limited I’m looking to develop real, long-term relationships.

I want to make tangible differences to teams, developing trust and helping them however they need it with their games.
